What is Litsea Essential Oil?

Litsea is an evergreen tree or shrub commonly found in Japan, Taiwan, South China and Southeast Asia. Litsea is also called “mountain pepper”. It is considered a spicy condiment and is often used in the native cuisine of Taiwan. The essential oil is obtained by steam distillation from the fresh ripe fruits of the Litsea tree. Litsea essential oil is also often called May Chang oil.

What is Litsea oil used for?

Litsea essential oil offers many powerful health benefits when taken internally. Its main chemical constituent is citral, which is actually made up of geranial and neral together. Citral can support healthy cellular function, immune system health, and nervous system function.* It also helps calm and soothe muscles.*

The other primary chemical constituent of litsea is Limonene, which is known for its beneficial properties. Limonene may support healthy functioning of the respiratory, gastrointestinal, immune, cellular and nervous systems.* Experimental research suggests that litsea has cleansing properties and may support antioxidants.*

GEBRUIKSAANWIJZINGEN

Verstuiving: Gebruik drie tot vier druppels in een verstuiver naar keuze.
Inwendig gebruik: Verdun een druppel in 4 fl. oz. vloeistof.
Plaatselijk gebruik: Breng een tot twee druppels aan op de gewenste plaats.
Verdun met een draagolie om eventuele huidgevoeligheid te minimaliseren.
