Douglas fir (Douglas Fir) is a coniferous tree that grows naturally in North America. Often used in the Christmas tree industry, this tall, evergreen pine tree has a lemony note that is sweet and refreshing. Douglas Fir essential oil is sustainably sourced from young trees in New Zealand, where it is a highly invasive species that threatens the country’s ecosystem.

By harvesting the young Douglas Fir trees and using them for essential oil, doTERRA strives to combat the environmental impacts of the trees that dominate the land, while providing an essential oil. Douglas Fir has a unique chemical composition that is particularly rich in betapinin and contributes to its ability to promote feelings of cleaner airways. The oil can also help to purify the skin and promote a positive mood.

The oil gives you strength, comfort and strength in times of feelings of abandonment and loneliness. With both feet back on the ground after the sometimes stormy times you go through. This oil blends well with citrus oils to create an uplifting environment while refreshing the air.
